Sometimes, oversleeping and sleeping a few hours less can be the reason.
If you sleep for very little time, its effect can be seen in your skin; it will be becoming dull and have dark tissues and blood vessels to show up. The lower eyelid when gets swelled up gets filled up with fluid, causing them to puffy.
Age is the dominant factor for eyelids. Ageing can be the most obvious reason for dark circles under your eyes. As you get older your skin also becomes thinner.
Fat and collagen will become less in your skin, which is needed to maintain skin elasticity. Therefore, blood vessels become more visible and cause the areas below your skin, to be more darkens.
Allergies can also cause dark circles.

Histamine is a vasodilator that causes your blood vessels to dilate and showed up under the skin. In skin allergies, eye dryness occurs which causes the scratching of the itchy skin around your eyes also.
Therefore, these actions can increase symptoms, causing inflammation, swelling, and broken blood vessels. This will be showing up under your eyes.
Dehydration can increase your dark circles.
It is one of the common causes of dark circles under your eyes.
When you are not giving enough intake of water, the skin behind your eyes becomes dull and sunken as well. The bone under your eyes is then near the underlying bone.
Over or moderate exposure to the sun.
Exposure to the sun increases the melanin pigment in the skin. Light rays coming from the sun stimulate the production of melanin in the body. Melanin gives colour to the skin. So, after sitting in the sun, melanin production in the body elevates.
Family history can also give dark circles.
Family history or genetics can be the reason for having dark circles. In this, you have inherited genes that give this particular trait. With time as you age, this blackish lower eyelids problem may get intensify or get slowly disappear.

People who have lighter skin tone are at the most risk of hyperpigmentation and dark lower eyelids. Lower eyelids can become darker when

Use tea bags over your eyes.
To get rid of the dark circles under your eyes, You can use teabags. Teas are one of the drinks which are most famous in every place. We tell you there is more than one uses of tea bags other than used to make tea.
Caffeine in tea has powerful antioxidants that increase the blood flow as well. Teabags also protect from the up rays coming from the sun. Green tea, for say, is one of the recommended tea by researchers. It is important to mention according to one of the trusted sources, it has more anti-inflammatory properties.
Use it in the following way. Steep two tea bags for at least 3 to 5 minutes, then chill the tea bags in the refrigerator for at least 3-5 minutes, then squeeze the extra liquid and then put the tea bags over your eyes or under the eye area. And leave the bag for 15-30 minutes.
Do the cold compress over your eyes.

For this, you just need to wrap the ice cubes in a washcloth and placed them on your eyes. You can also make cloth wet in cold water and can apply it for 15-20 minutes over your eyes. Repeat this process until you feel your eyes are relaxed.
Take sleep of 8 hours for reducing dark circles.
Get caught up on your sleep more. Less sleep will enhance the dark circles. Sleep deprivation can cause the skin to be pale and dark circles appear more obvious. Take at least 8-7 hours of sleep for better rest.
People generally go with permanent and effective solutions to their problems. Medical treatments are one of them to reduce dark circles.

Most of the time, having dark circles can be for no serious reason. It can be due to lack of sleep or ageing. Some medical and homemade treatments for puffed eyes are to cure or lessen the problem of dark circles.
You can also correct the dark circle’s problem by staying properly hydrated and taking proper sleep. When the discolouration or swelling, worsens over time, one should visit a doctor or a dermatologist to know the problems exactly.
