South Korea screens thousands of worshipers for virus

After confirming more than 430 cases of coronavirus transmission, now thousands of religious sect members are being screened by the officials. the step came after, the state officials found fresh clusters of the coronavirus disease globally. There has been quite an impulsive increase in the number of coronavirus transmission cases in South Korea since its outbreak.

The officials are preparing to screen worshippers, who may have been exposed to the coronavirus transmission at a controversial church. Most of South Korea’s cases have been reported in Daegu, South Korea. The population of the Daegu is around 250thousand and the state officials are much more concerned about new cases. The people are being advised to take care of themselves at home and being sent clinical staff ad medical supplies.

Till now, the real origin of these deadly infections is not clear. On the other hand, the state health officials are trying hard to trace all people who came in contact with 61-year-old superspreader. She was believed to transmit the coronavirus before testing positive. The number of people who may have been infected may be more than 1000.

Here, the church stated that it had shut all of its branches and engaged in disinfecting its facilities.
In China, 2345 deaths have been reported due to coronavirus transmission.

In a report of The Guardian a professor of geography and environmental science, Andrew Tatem said: “Before the recent news of apparent outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran, it seemed like the relatively low number of cases outside of China and with no link to traveling there pointed to hope that the virus could be contained. This recent news, particularly regarding Iran, is especially worrying.”

Amid global panic of coronavirus outbreak, Northern Italy has reported 51 more cases of coronavirus transmission, and 2 deaths. The situation follows the ban on public events and stays home appeals.  Some Italian Town banned the carnival celebration after a locked down due to reported cases of 2 deaths due to coronavirus.

Italy was the first European country, which suspended all direct flights from and to China, soon after testing 2 Chinese tourists from Wuhan positive in January-end, in Rome.
