Medical workers in Italy and Spain are facing a shortage of necessary protective equipment while treating COVID patients. Some of them are succumbing to respiratory problems amid the Coronavirus epidemic. It causes panic amongst medical workers and dangers their lives.
Two countries in Europe, Italy, and Spain have exploded with a monstrous spread of coronavirus in countries. These two countries cost more than 18000 deaths.
From the day coronavirus costing lives in China, Italy consistently rippled towards big havoc. Till today Italy has accounted for maximum deaths due to COVID19, and, still heath workers dedicatedly putting everything they have.

Alda Recas, President, Madrid’s Association of Independent Nurses, told
“We haven’t seen a situation like this one in all of our lives and careers.”
“We were already overloaded before this crisis, and now you have to add the emotional overload,”
She further added the current problem of healthcare supplies. The problem of limited supplies of protective supplies comes so generic at all health centers and hospitals.
Yet, no deaths account for medical workers by officials in Spain, But 12% of all COVID positive cases are contracted to medical workers. In the most recent media briefing, Spain’s emergency coordination center’s head, Fernando Somon informed that the number of medical workers contracted with COVID aggregated to 9444 from 3475.
Doctors and nurses have been infected and not able to hoist the cumulative effort to help COVId patients. Though they are also worried about the high risk of transmitting the deadly virus to their loved ones.
With a grievous loss of lives worldwide, Spain’s panic about the state of medical works constitutes a more dangerous purview.
As News reported, Miguel Guirao, an anesthetist working at the intensive care unit, added “We are trying to protect ourselves the best we can,” “Not just for ourselves, but for our families and other patients.”
Guirao further added, the COVID infected doctors had to leave their duty and isolating themselves for 3 weeks. But circumstances do not permit to swerve the cumulative effort of the health worker, so their colleagues took up the challenge to treat maximum COVID patients they can.
It indicated the horrendous situation if a large number of medical staff get infected with the coronavirus. Lack of protective equipment, asymptomatic spread, and unreliable testing would be causing more risks for health workers.

Since the coronavirus outbreak, Italy has lost 61 medical workers until now. National Institute of Health, Italy informed 8358 health workers, 9% of the total numbers of people tested positive with COVID19.
According to Johns Hopkins University, Italy has reported the highest deaths due to coronavirus in the world, more than 10,500 fatalities,

“The chronic global shortage of personal protective equipment is now one of the most urgent threats to our collective ability to save lives,”
Tedros further added that the WHO has also shipped around 2 million PPE (Personal protective equipment) to 74 countries.
